Yung Nick, also known to many as the younger brother of Lil’ E “The Realest” ; (one of Miami’s first promising prospects). Was born August 24, 1987 in Liberty City’s Scott Projects. His family later relocated to the Carol City section of northern Miami, where he would discover and nurture his desire to become a recording artist. At the tender age of 11; after one day witnessing his older brother effortlessly juggle metaphors and similes; Yung Nick decided that a girl named Hip Hop would be the love of his life.
Yung Nick says that growing up, he was massively influenced by Lil’ E (older brother) and Trick Daddy; and as a result, his sound is very Miami. He would later go on to be a part of Duce Pound a music group / neighborhood home to artists affiliated with Poe Boy Music Group, Strong Arm, I.M.G. and Maybach Music Group. When asked what motivates him to keep making music; his reply is that he does it for his kids and the memory of Spoon. The most difficult ordeal that Nick has sustained; was the death of his best friend Spoon; who was brutally and unjustifiably murdered by Miami PD in early 2011.
In addition to a unique voice and a catchy aura Yung Nick also possesses the gift of extraordinary memory; which is why he almost never utilizes pen and paper. Every bar he has ever created thus far, has been “off the top”.
After years of perfecting his craft and striving to make music for the people; Yung Nick will be gifting the people with his highly anticipated Mix tape, justly titled “In The Nick Of Time”; Hosted by Miami’s own Dj Killa K. Yung Nick is signed to Duce Pound Inc. and closely associated to I.M.G. / Strong Arm. Yung Nick is definitely an up an coming artist worth watching; and opportunely we are just “In The Nick Of Time” to enjoy the show.
